Who thinks doing without winter is wrong? A well-constructed road takes you to the summit of the 1,284-meter high Schauinsland in just a few minutes by car and a little longer by bicycle. Also, the 3,480-meter-long Schauinsland cable car can make the ascent or descent easier and also spoils you with a fantastic view over the Rhine Graben to the Vosges mountains.
30,000 students visibly enliven Freiburg’s city life. The “capital of the Black Forest” offers a wide range of cultural activities and a large number of cozy places to stop. With the Schloßbergbahn you can reach the mountain of the same name in only 3 minutes. In addition to a magnificent view, visitors can expect traces of an eventful past dating back to the 11th century.
